Eastern Arunachal Multi-Activity Tour 2026

Trek to Glow Lake, cycle across river country and raft the Dibang

24–30 October 2026 · 7 days

Why this journey

Three ways to experience the wild east of Arunachal Pradesh

This fixed departure is for travellers who would rather move through a landscape than simply view it. Over seven days, the journey brings together a guided trek to Glow Lake in Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary, supported cycling between the Lohit and Dibang river valleys, and rafting on the Dibang.

Each activity reveals a different side of Eastern Arunachal: rainforest trails and a remote mountain lake on foot, village roads and broad valleys by bicycle, then Himalayan-fed water from the raft.

The tour is active and adventurous, but the activities are paced as a supported group journey. Local conditions, trail access and river levels always shape the final flow.

Signature experiences

What makes this departure special

The trek to Glow Lake

Set within Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary, Glow Lake is reached through the forested country that gives Eastern Arunachal its sense of scale and isolation. The guided trek is a central part of this departure: a chance to travel on foot through rainforest terrain and arrive at a remote lake far beyond the usual road circuit.

Cycling from the Lohit towards the Dibang

The cycling section follows quiet roads through villages, forest edges and open valley landscapes between two of the region’s defining rivers. Vehicle support and group pacing make it possible to focus on the ride and the changing country around you.

Rafting on the Dibang

The river brings a different rhythm to the final part of the journey. The rafting plan is chosen for the group and the conditions, with local support and water levels determining the most suitable section.

Life in the eastern valleys

The activities sit within a broader journey through Eastern Arunachal’s villages, food, forest landscapes and living cultures. Time off the trail, bicycle and raft matters too: it is what connects the adventure to the place.

Is it right for you?

Come ready for variety, remoteness and changing conditions

This departure suits travellers with a reasonable level of everyday fitness who enjoy walking and cycling and are comfortable with an active week. You do not need to be a specialist in all three activities, but you should be ready for forest terrain, variable surfaces and simpler facilities in remote areas.

October normally offers a useful post-monsoon window, though weather can still influence the Glow Lake trail, roads and river. The team adapts the route when required, so flexibility is part of travelling well here.

Ask us about the current trail plan, equipment, accommodation and what to pack. We can talk through your experience and help you judge whether the departure is the right fit.
